Mark Shea (and family!) and Jim Twellman supported the Saeger MS event tonight, amidst a heavy dose of
clouds and light pollution. Pat also brought the school's 8" Orion
dob, for a total of 4 scopes plus a nice set of binos. I counted 40 people in addition to us, and a few more came late,
so anywhere from 40-50 on this event. We observed a nice crescent Venus, a hint of the Orion nebula, and the double star Gamma Andromeda. The clouds didn't leave us much room, but we made do showing from 7pm to 8:30 pm or so. |
