The Astronomical Society of Eastern Missouri is the public outreach activity of the Alliance for Astronomy, Inc., a Missouri non-profit corporation.  The mission of Alliance is

to promote public awareness, appreciation and education in astronomy and related sciences.

16-in Jones-Bird Telescope

The 16-inch Jones-Bird telescope has been re-located to Broemmelsiek Park where it will be used for public star gazing events and is available to ASEM members for personal projects when not in use for a public event.  The telescope is wheelchair accessible and is a powerful addition to the astronomical resources of the region.  See also
