Canceling a public viewing session hours in advance because of predicted bad weather is always a shot in the dark.   While we do our best to predict the weather, even the professionals often fail. The weather forecast generally self-regulates both attendance and telescope support from our club.  Summer clouds will often part early in the evening, but not always.

Public viewing sessions will generally be cancelled without notice if there is a significant chance for rain or heavy cloud cover, or dangerous weather is in the area during these evening hours.  Rain is not healthy for electronics.  Individual members may come to Broemmelsiek Park with their telescopes as they see fit.  Listed below are the various online weather sources used to read the "crystal ball."
