OK, it's official. I've scheduled the Weldon Spring Interpretive Center from 9:00 am to Noon on Saturday, April 3, 2010. We will have a workshop on how to use a webcam to image the Sun and Moon. We will have the Lund 60mm H alpha scope, one or more PSTs, one or more ETX-125s with white light filters and one or more webcams adapted to 1 1/4 inch eyepiece tubes. We will have one or more laptops set up with image acquisition software (K3CCD) and processing (Registax). I will have CDs with copies of the free software for those who don't already have it. I say one or more several times meaning folks are encouraged to bring their own equipment, too. The more the merrier. Contact me directly if you want to show-and-tell something. The workshop is free and open to the public. |
