ASEM's SIGs

A SIG is a Special Interest Group for members of the club and the public to come together to discus and share ideas on a common topic.  Currently ASEM has two SIGs:
  • The "Digital Imaging" group - are members and visitors who share the same interest in Astrophotography (or Digital Imaging) and to learn how to do it better and easier.  This covers both still image capture with DSLR and CCD cameras and webcams.

  • The "DIY-ATM" group - are members and visitors who enjoy building and improving telescopes and scope gear themselves, while saving a few bucks (over buying the same item new), and a share interest in educating others how to do the same.
As interest grows additional Special Interest Groups may be formed.

Meeting schedule and times:
  • The Digital Imaging SIG meets at 7:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month at the Weldon Spring Center.
  • The DIY-ATM SIG meets at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of every other month at the Weldon Spring Center, and if it is clear that night, ATM show'n'tell may continue at Broemmelsiek Park.  It is expected during the first quarter of the year (January, February, and March) we will meet every month.
Please check the Home page for meeting announcements and scheduling on the Calendar.

Links to the SIG's web space will be added after the SIG develops web content.
